How many cupcakes does a standard recipe make?

A standard cupcake recipe (using one box of cake mix or a typical from scratch recipe) yields about 24 standard cupcakes or 12 jumbo cupcakes. Mini cupcake pans will yield 48 60 mini cupcakes from the same batter. Fill each cup about two thirds full to allow room for rising without overflow.
