My name is Stefanos Ioannou. I live and work in Limassol, Cyprus. PickSmartHQ is the whole operation. There is no editorial committee, no team of ghostwriters, and no paid placements. I research the products, write the guides, and update them when better options ship or prices change.

Why this site exists
Shopping online should be simple. It is not. Most of the top results for any "best of" search are written by content farms that have never touched the products they recommend. The rankings move with whoever pays the most commission. The "honest reviews" are anything but.
PickSmartHQ is the opposite of that. Every recommendation is the answer I would give a friend who asked me which one to buy. The picks are ranked by what is actually good, not by what pays best.
How I pick what to recommend

Research first
I read the materials, the reviews written over years of ownership, and the boring fine print. Before I write a guide, I ask what actually matters in this category. Sharpness on a knife is one thing. Edge retention over a year of weekly sharpening is another.

Compare side by side
I build a working spec sheet for the top contenders. The things you can measure (build, durability, performance) and the things you can feel (handle, balance, weight). Anything that fails the basics gets cut before it reaches the page.

Pick for the reader, not the page
Every guide names the best option for different needs and budgets. You do not always want the most expensive thing. I do not always recommend it. A good $40 pick beats a mediocre $200 one.

Update over time
Prices shift. New models ship. Older recommendations get retested. Every guide carries a last updated date so you know how fresh the picks are.
How the site makes money
PickSmartHQ is free to read and free of ads. The site earns revenue when you click a product link and buy something on Amazon. Amazon pays a small commission. Your price stays the same.
