Is a mechanical keyboard worth it for office work?

For typing heavy work, absolutely. Mechanical keyboards offer better tactile feedback, less finger fatigue over long sessions, and significantly longer lifespans (50+ million keystrokes vs 5 million for membrane). Linear or tactile switches (not clicky) are ideal for office environments. Budget mechanical keyboards now rival premium options from a few years ago.
