How do I prevent mildew on my shower curtain?

Four habits prevent most mildew: (1) Spread the curtain fully after each shower so it dries flat. (2) Run the bathroom exhaust fan during and 20 minutes after showering. (3) Wash the curtain monthly machine wash with a towel for scrubbing action, add 1/2 cup baking soda. (4) Spray with a vinegar water solution weekly. If mildew is persistent, switch to an anti microbial liner.
