French rolling pin vs American rolling pin which should I choose?

French pins (tapered, no handles) give you direct contact with the dough and more control over thickness preferred by professional pastry chefs. American pins (cylindrical with handles) are easier to use and apply even pressure with less technique. If you bake frequently and want to improve your skills, go French.
