Do I need a MagSafe phone stand?

Only if you have an iPhone 12 or newer. MagSafe provides convenient magnetic snap on attachment and wireless charging alignment. Non MagSafe stands work with any phone. The magnetic attachment is genuinely convenient quick on, quick off but limits you to iPhones and MagSafe cases. Universal stands are more versatile if you switch phones or share with family.
