Can I wash blackout curtains in a regular washing machine?

Most polyester blackouts like NICETOWN, Deconovo, and BGment are machine washable on cold with mild detergent tumble dry low. Always wash them alone or with similar colors since dyes can bleed on the first wash. Avoid hot water and the dryer on high, which can damage the blackout coating. Velvet and heavy liner backed curtains should typically be spot cleaned or dry cleaned.
