Are LED floor lamps bright enough to light a whole room?

A single torchiere style LED floor lamp (like the Brightech Sky) can realistically light a 12x12 room by itself, bouncing light off the ceiling. For larger rooms, pair a torchiere with a smaller task lamp. Standard drum shade lamps are better as supplemental lighting rather than the sole room light. Look for lumens, not watts aim for 1,500+ lumens for primary lighting.
