PWM

Pulse Width Modulation.

A method of dimming LEDs by flicking them on and off faster than the eye can see. Low frequency PWM causes visible flicker and eye fatigue for sensitive users. Quality monitor lights and ring lights either use DC dimming or high frequency PWM above 25 kHz.
