Burr Grinder

A coffee grinder that crushes beans between two abrasive surfaces, usually ceramic or steel.

Burr grinders produce uniform particle size, which brews cleanly. Blade grinders chop randomly and produce uneven grounds that over extract and under extract at the same time.
